  • 4 slices bread any type you prefer, toasted
  • 1 can (400g) - baked beans warmed
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese for melting on top
  • to taste - salt & pepper optional, for seasoning
  • 1 tsp butter optional, to spread on toast before beans

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet or Frying Pan To warm the baked beans and melt the cheese
  • 1 Toaster To toast the bread slices

Method

  1. ast the bread:
Lightly toast the slices of bread until golden and crispy. Optionally, spread a thin layer of butter on each slice for extra flavor.
  2. Warm the beans:
Pour the baked beans into a skillet or saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Assemble the toast:
Spoon the warm baked beans evenly over each slice of toasted bread.
  4. Add the cheese:
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the beans. Allow it to melt naturally, or briefly place under a grill for a gooey, golden finish.
  5. Add the cheese:
Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the beans. Allow it to melt naturally, or briefly place under a grill for a gooey, golden finish.

Notes

Serving & Presentation

Serve Cheesy Beans on Toast immediately while the toast is warm and the cheese is melted. Arrange the slices neatly on a plate and ensure the beans and cheese are evenly distributed for a visually appealing presentation.
For extra color and flavor, sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives, a dash of paprika, or a little cracked black pepper. You can also add a side of sliced tomatoes or a small green salad to make the meal more balanced. The combination of golden toasted bread, creamy melted cheddar, and rich, savory beans makes the dish look as inviting as it tastes.
